(Snow) Queen of Hearts

I've never cared for the snow, but something about being in our first home this Winter has given me all the cozy, nesting feels and I just love gazing out the window as the soft flakes fall and make everything shimmer. It feels like life slows down and everything becomes quiet, even if just for the day.

On Sunday when it began to snow, I knew it was perfect time to take some fun Valentine's Day photos–and have a little fun playing in the snow at the same time. This was new for us in the photography realm, so you'll notice that the full-body shots are not the greatest, but I think we did a great job for our first attempt!

Relax & Revive at Massage Heights

I'll be totally honest, massages are something I rarely treat myself to but every time I book an appointment I wonder what took me so long to go back. Recently I had the opportunity to pop into Massage Heights Meridian and Main location in Indianapolis and have a treatment done. I can honestly say that the entire experience was just what I needed.

Boho in Lola Blu

One day last week it was twelve degrees below zero. Two days later, we got a random seven inches of snow that popped up overnight, unannounced. Then, two days after THAT, it was 60 degrees, which I think is a TEN on the Kacie Weather Rating Scale. Interestingly enough, it was one day after Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early Spring. I think he just felt the onset of warm air and found himself quite confused (I know I am!). To sum it all up: winter is coming (again) soon. Now that I’ve completed that meteorological math equation, let’s talk about this outfit.

On said 60 degree day (we’ll call it ‘Sunday’), Jonathan and I headed out for lunch and merriment and in the process, snapped these fine photos. Let me tell you, it was an interesting time. The sun was insidiously bright and the wind was a-blowin’, but I was too enchanted by this pale yellow sweater and lace bralette combo from one of my favorite local boutiques, Lola Blu, to notice that my photos just weren’t turning out how I wanted them to. Just kidding I had a near meltdown. Ask my boyfriend.
