Bright Lights Mini Skirt = Big Holiday Style

Who else gravitates toward holiday-inspired looks this time of year? I mean, honestly, give me all the embellishment, sequins, satin, etc. because I'm totally living for it all! While it's fun to dress up in holiday outfits, they are not always super practical to have for everyday. BUT sometimes you have to splurge, right? This outfit totally seals the deal on both practicality and holiday. It is all of the my holiday loves, in snowy tones perfect for the whole winter.

It as love at first sight when I saw this Free People bright lights mini on Elysian + Co's Instastory. I immediately messaged my friend and asked her to hold it for me–best decision ever. It's even prettier in person! I can't decide if I feel like a little frosted sugar cookie in it or a snow queen, but either way, it's GORG. I love that the detailing wraps all the way around the skirt. Since the skirt is a wee bit on the short side for this half-pint girl, I opted to pair it with an chunky knit oversized pullover sweater. For me, I like to balance out my outfits so if I'm wearing something tighter in fit on the bottom, I'll be more covered on the top. It would also look super cute with a fitted body suit, BUT since I'm me, a cozy sweater it is. I love adding a little flair with a lace bralette, too! This one is a dupe for the Free People adella bralette, but happens to have a some padding for us less busty girls. You can thank me later for that tip! Also, you can snag this whole outfit for yourself at Elysian!

I'd love to hear about your favorite holiday looks! What are you gravitating to this year? Glam? Casual holiday? Either way, this one is definitely getting me in the holiday spirit! Stay tuned for more outfits perfect for your upcoming holiday events by following me on Instagram.
