Kimono Kacie

A few years ago, I fell in love with kimonos. There's something about adding a long flowing layer to a basic outfit that adds a funky feel that is just very Kacie-like. Especially when it blows in the wind (see above) and makes me feel way cooler than I actually am. Throw in the classic black and white factor, a strappy top and heels and BAM! (sorry, I just got back from New Orleans and Emeril is heavy on the mind) – you've got yourself a fresh and fun look perfect for the office or date night (or in my case, a VIP preview party for Drybar - see our recap here)!

This swiss dot ruffle hi-lo kimono from Express is so, so cute and can also be used as a swim coverup, therefore, it's multipurpose and completely worth the investment – AND under $50! I can't wait to wear it with denim shorts, and this Fall, with all black (my "Wednesday Addams go-to" during the cold weather months, ha!). These nude-colored Jessica Simpson heels were the perfect addition to even out the light to dark ratio, making it one of my favorite looks of late. So much dimension!

On another note, I cancelled my Rocksbox subscription last Fall because I needed a break from unnecessary spending but I recently reactivated it and I have been so in love with all of the jewelry they've sent me! My earrings and necklace above are both from my last box and if you're a HUGE fan of Kendra Scott like I am, they have tons of pieces from their latest collection. If you haven't checked it out, use my code KACIEBFF14 to get your first month free!

  1. A beautiful and super elegant outfit! The transparent kimono is gorgeous ... and so are the heels ;)
