Sage Style

Listen people, it's been another scorcher in Indiana recently and you can bet I'm not wearing fall clothing until it's cooled down a bit–meaning I'm not throwing on a sweater and sitting next to some leaves and pretending there's a chill in the air. Don't get me wrong, I love fall and all the cozy layering it entails, but I don't love sweating to death wearing all of those layers when it's still hot and humid.

What I will do right now is start incorporating some fall tones into my warm weather pieces. I picked up this sage jersey dress at Francesca's (PS - it has pockets!) a while back and love the a-line shape and the turtleneck detail. It's perfect for summer, or I could easily add a denim jacket and scarf to layer up for fall weather. I don't know why but I've always loved this sage green color, but in my opinion it's one of those versatile colors that spans all seasons. Or maybe I'm just crazy...which could very easily be the case. One thing is for certain, this girl is not putting on fall clothes just yet!

  1. I LOVE this dress. So cute and I agree about summer temps. Don't jump into a sweater if it isn't time yet. This dress will easily transition into early Fall though with some booties and a jacket. Loving this! http://mymonochromaticlife.com
