Some days I need to remind myself to "Go with the Flow" and forget about outside influences, bad days, or even wind that manages to pick up in 95.7% of the blog photos I take. Nothing in life is perfect or guaranteed, so why let something so trivial and minute bother me so much. I think as bloggers we strive to get that perfect photo–complete with expertly done makeup and hair–and let's be honest, you'll always find something that you don't care for in even the most beautiful of photos. So even though the wind was blowing and my hair was all over the place, I'm choosing to enjoy the way this outfit made me feel instead of focusing on the negativity.
If I haven't lost you yet with my random thoughts on being more flexible in life, welcome back! Outdoor photos are so pretty with all of the natural lighting, but the wind can be a challenge. On this particular day, while wearing a gauzy kimono and the wind was not my friend, I worked with the flowy vibe and used the wind to my advantage!
In addition to this taupe, floral kimono I'm rocking here, I cannot begin to describe how much I love these Carlos Santana cutout booties. When Kacie and I hosted the Macy's Spring into Fashion event, I saw these beauties and knew they had to come home with me. Much deliberation and an online shopping trip later, I purchased them and the rest is history. But seriously, the color is perfection and will transition so perfectly into fall as well.
The feminine vibe was definitely going strong with this look, so my monogram necklace from Onecklace.com was the perfect accessory! You can snag one for yourself and save 10% using the code regally10 upon checkout. Literally every other accessory I have on has come from my Rockbox subscription as well. This subscription service is probably the best one I have ever done! You get to be surprised with new jewelry in each box, wear it and either return it for more baubles or keep your faves at a discounted price. Try one month free on me using the code JCOSTILOWXOXO. You won't be disappointed and can always leave feedback and request certain pieces off your wishlist. I noted that I was going on a beach vacation recently and was provided with some super fun, beachy pieces that paired perfectly with most of the outfits I took with me. Win-win!

Thanks Jaymie! This kimono is seriously the perfect, lightweight material for warm weather.
DeleteWhat a great idea to be thankful for how you feel in an outfit versus looking perfect for the world, something that is hard on the days when we want to please but feel good. Great point and outfit. You look fabulous.
