When Macy’s contacted us about hosting their Spring Fashion Show we took a moment to laugh about our shared discomfort speaking to an audience and immediately wrote it off as something we couldn’t do. Somewhere in between that point and the urge to tackle a new challenge, we actually accepted the hosting gig and the sheer panic of, “What did we just agree to do!?” set in. However after weeks of working up the nerve to actually squeak out coherent words, we hosted Macy’s Spring into Style Fashion Show. We totally have to pat ourselves on the back for being able to a) speak with confidence and b) host an event in the heart of the Castleton Square Mall where it wasn’t just the seated audience we were speaking to, but an entire crew of people milling around the mall on a rainy Saturday.
The team at Macy’s definitely did an amazing job helping us prepare! From our outfit selection down to the detailed looks chosen for the models, we were in our element talking about our favorite wearable spring trends. The models were styled to perfection wearing outfits from INC, Free People, Rachel Roy, and many more while Clinique offered up their amazing services and was doing mini-makeovers for anyone who wanted a fresh spring look. Even we got to join in on the fun and donned Clinique Lip Pop Colour for the day. How can you beat that!?
We didn’t just love our lip color. The team at Macy’s made us look fabulous in some amazing spring pieces. Jaime stuck with a bold print and pop of color in her Rachel Roy racerback blouse, fit and flare skirt and neutral Steve Madden lace up heels. Kacie chose to mix it up with striped Maison Jules shorts, a colorful scalloped lemon tank and studded yellow heels from INC.
All the stress and event anxiety we had completely melted away the second we took the stage and had a chance to share out take on the spring trends. With beautiful styling, amazing clothing and an engaged audience, the event was a win for the ladies of Regally Soled and Macy’s. We took on a new challenge and totally owned the stage and picked up a few fun pieces to add to our spring wardrobe. #shoppersforlife
P.S. Thanks a million to our friend Sarah of Sarah's Real Life (and our other friend Katie) for taking these photos for us while we were busy on stage. Much appreciated, ladies!
