Regal Outing: CycleBar @ Trader's Point

Earlier this year when I discovered that they were opening a CycleBar right near our office, I was so excited! Seriously, I scared the crap out of Jaime when I started squealing with delight while she was driving through the busy shopping center during the lunch hour, ha! I am a self-proclaimed spin fanatic and have always thought CycleBar looked like an amazing experience, but there wasn't a convenient location for me to try. I was even more ecstatic when they hosted a contest giving away 100 free rides and guess who won?! ME.

Naturally, I forced Jaime to join me for a free introductory ride so on Monday evening we left the office and headed to Trader's Point for our first class. The second we walked through the door we were greeted with smiling faces and seriously, the nicest staff – and checking in for our class was a cinch with the do-it-yourself iPad kiosks. Of course, style bloggers that we are, we perused the shop with the cutest CycleBar gear (I'll be investing in quite a few pieces for sure!) before heading off on a tour of the space.

This place literally has everything you need – from lockers and showers to private dressing rooms stocked with hairdriers, flat irons, bobby pins and hair ties (and so much more, seriously!) to the bar stocked with complimentary water bottles, snacks and mints. Special shoes that clip into the bikes are also provided so they've got you covered!

Now onto the best part! CycleBar is known for its state-of-the-art CycleTheatres (where the magic happens) complete with stadium seating, massive flat screen TVs and lighting/sound systems reminiscent of a concert setting. Each bike is equipped with its own data monitor to track your stats, and if you choose, to rank you against your fellow cyclists (I ranked 4th, woot, woot!). With the lights down and the music up, the energy was definitely high in the theatre. The workout was great and I especially loved that the class implements a weighted bar to give a total body workout in just 50 minutes. We enjoyed our instructor and even found a bunch of new songs that we love. After class you even receive an email with your stats, as well as the playlist from your class! How fun is that?!

Jaime was a bit nervous at first since she had never tried a spin class but she did great and now she's hooked and planning to purchase rides for herself. Overall, we highly recommend finding a CycleBar near you (they have locations in numerous states!) and giving it a try. Thank you to everyone at CycleBar Trader's Point for making our first experience an amazing one - you'll be seeing a lot of us!
