Hop Ahead to Easter

From beautiful frocks to airy ensembles, Easter fashion is all about pastel colors and a fresh spring attitude. With the holiday just around the corner, this girl is already plotting her outfit. In our typical laidback fashion, we celebrate the holiday by brunching and this ensemble totally fits with my Easter plans. Dressed up, yet comfortable and plenty of "room" for delicious brunch foods.

Let me go on record saying that button up shirts always feel a little masculine to me, but yet I still continue to wear them. By adding a ruffled hemline and overized cut, this ruffle blouse from Romwe {did I mention it's only $20?} is immediately transformed into a more feminine top. The super soft fabric makes it even more appropriate for the warming temps and spring-like weather. I love how it looks paired with this light grey denim and white rockstud-esque heels. I added an extra level of glam to the look with a sparkling statement necklace and rose quartz colored purse–not to mention this outfit should totally count as outfit of the year since I combined both rose quartz and serenity blue. Maybe?

With my outfit chosen, all I need to do now is find the perfect recipe to bring to our family brunch. It's a toss up–do I bring these adorable bunny rolls or these mini Easter egg cakes?

    1. It has felt like spring the past couple of weeks here, but I think our luck has run out and we'll be getting snow toward the end of this week. Ha! BUT pastels definitely help usher in a more spring-life feeling. This top is definitely a must though and at $20, you can't beat the unique shape and price point.

    1. Thanks Amy! I love Easter dresses, but our laidback Easter plans always call for low key looks that can be dressed up a bit.

    1. Thanks Ashley! This definitely has made me rethink the lifespan of button ups in my closet. I'll buy them and immediately get rid of the shortly afterwards because I always feel awkward in them. This one however is going to be sticking around!
