There's just something about fall that brings out the stylish slob in me and has me craving the grunge trend! Oversized knits, chunky boots and layers? Yes, please!
Unfortunately, this style can very easily to go from "off-duty supermodel" to "Sloppy Joe" – it's all in the details! So what do you need to pull off this casual look? I've compiled some of my must-have pieces and added a few tips for making this trend a success instead of just an unfortunate mishap.
What you'll need:
A leather jacket and leather leggings (these Lysse faux leather leggings are amazing and look just like real leather!), destroyed denim, over-sized tops (I just recently got the SheIn sweater shown above and am in love!), plaid everything, statement jewelry and black booties. Of course there's more; what are your guys' favorite grunge-inspired pieces? I'd love to hear in the comments below!
How I wear it:
As I mentioned before, the key to looking pulled together isn't always in the outfit at all, but in the details! How are you wearing your hair? Pretty curls add a grown-up touch to this casual style. Is your makeup clean? Pretty eye makeup and a fun lipstick add an 'I-meant-to-look-like-this' touch. Did you accessorize? A sparkly statement necklace adds some sophistication to an over-sized top and slouchy beanie. Ya get where I'm going with this? :)
I hope this tip helps some of you feel a little more comfortable about trying this super fun trend because if you don't, you're truly missing out!!
