Flat Out Style

I think it's safe to say that I'm shoe obsessed and spring and summer are when I get to truly step up my shoe game–I mean after all, bright shoes are the perfect companion to warm weather and sunny days. From designer ballet flats to summery wedges and bright heels, I break out all of my favorites and wear them with pride. From brightly colored flats to basic neutral heels, this girl has yet to meet a pair of shoes she didn't like.

Many people think that heels are the only way to go. These people have not had the enjoyment of finding a comfortable and stylish ballet flat. Let's be honest here, heels are great if you're heading into the office and have minimal walking to do. But if you're like me, and never know how much walking you'll be doing, you opt for a flatter shoe that still adds the perfect finishing touch to your ensemble.

Pro tip: My favorite ballet flats are designed by Michael Kors and Sam Edelman. I've never been even slightly uncomfortable wearing either of these brands, and they are comfortable enough to wear all day long with ease!

  7. Wow - from one Midwestern girl to another (I was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana) these are awesome. Everyone of them would fit in my closet. Thanks so much for sharing. Visiting from Monday Mingle.
