As you may have read in this post, we had the awesome opportunity to be the official bloggers of Midwest Fashion Week. We were so excited by this opportunity and have spent weeks pouring over what to wear and what events we would attend. We ended up choosing the Friday and Saturday night shows that featured some amazing designers, including couture menswear brand, Catou, and fashion from Project Runway's Richard Hallmarq and Samantha Black. Blush has been such a stand-out color this spring that we decided to revolve our choices around tones of blush, white and grey. Here are our ensembles for the Friday night show:
Kacie's Blush Style
As soon as we began planning our outfits for MFW events, I decided I should have one really springy outfit, and since pink is my all time favorite color, I knew I wanted something in this blushy shade. This Nordstrom dress has not only an adorable feminine shape but it is so soft and comfy. I completed this look with an amazing Baublebar statement necklace and some girly arm candy and voila –– MFW ready!
Wearing – Nordstrom Dress | Mossimo Snakeskin Pumps (old) | Kate Spade Bow Bracelet | Michael Kors Watch | Baublebar Necklace
Jaime's Blush Style
I'm normally not one to steer toward pastels, but I'm loving blush this year–especially pieces like this moto jacket. I knew I had to wear this on one of the nights the moment I saw it. I was so excited when I got it and even more so when I realized how much I loved it with my favorite white bell skirt and grey t-shirt. Add a little sparkle and I was ready and excited for the show!
Wearing – Express Textured Moto Jacket | Bandage Bell Skirt | J.Crew T-shirt | Snakeskin Pump | Vince Camuto Pyramid Watch | J.Crew Crystal Flower Bracelet
We'll have more posts later this week featuring our second MFW look of the weekend, as well as show recaps with some amazing designers! We know there have been a TON of fashion week's happening in cities around the country. Have any of you stylish ladies had the chance to attend any of the events? Tell us about your experience!
