Leather & Pleating
The weather is consistently below 65 in Indiana and the days are getting chillier, which means I'm embracing the leather trend with open arms. Let's be honest here, you can't wear leather when it's 80 degrees out unless you're a rocker or a celebutant. I'm neither, so here it's officially leather weather in Indiana for Jaime.
I ran across this skirt at BCBG one day while shopping for dresses to wear at this year's Cancer Gala. Did I leave with a Gala dress? No. Did I leave with an absurdly overprices leather skirt? Yes. I'm like Carrie Bradshaw over here, what can I saw. I like my money where I can see it, hanging right in my closet. All jokes aside, this skirt goes great in my wardrobe. It provides the perfect amount of edge for my over-the-top girly clothing.

I love the pleating, love the necklace, and ADORE those heels! Wow, what a cute look!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I completely forgot about these booties, and I was super pumped when I found them in my closet for winter. Ha!
DeleteSuch a cute skirt! I really love that necklace too! It's a stunning piece!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lauren! I thought I'd lost this necklace going back and forth from my mom's house and mine, but I found it and couldn't be more happy with it still. It's such a great piece and adds instant pizzazz to any outfit.
DeleteLove your shoes!!

Thanks Darcy! Surprisingly enough they are ridiculously comfortable and the interior also has the softest leather. Leave it to Sam Edelman to make the most adorable, and comfortable, booties ever!
DeleteLove the black and white - way to stick with the classics! But I really love how you mixed it up with the shapes and textures! So cute!
ReplyDeleteJenna from Visions of Vogue
Thanks Jenna! Black and white are a go-to in my closet, so it's definitely two colors I wear A LOT. Ha!
DeleteOh girl, I am loving this look! You nailed it with the addition of the necklace and leopard booties. I am all about leather this fall.

Thank you Amy Ann! The necklace and booties definitely upped the anted of this outfit and provided some unique contrast to the black and white combo.
DeleteThat BaubleBar necklace is the jam, no? I love it! It's just SO, so heavy! Like going to the gym, but with statement necklaces. ;)

Pink Wings
Ha! That necklace is a favorite of mine, but the skirt is pretty versatile and I hope to get some wear it out of it this winter.
