It's All About the Details

Wearing – Dress: BCBG | Shoes: BCBG {old, similar here} | Bracelets: David Yurman 1, 2, & 3; |
Earrings: ILY Couture

There's a whole lot of BC's happening in these photos and I'm not just talking about the bon chic variety. For starters, I'm decked head to toe in BCBG–a brand that is synonymis with elegance in my mind–and my husband, whom I call BC, or B, for short. While I enjoy playing dress up, the reasoning is much more meaningful.

If you've been following along during my blogging journey, you may have read that my sister passed away from acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2011. Since that time, we've created the Bailey R. Moore Foundation and participated in raising money for cancer research and a bevvy of charities helping individuals afflicted with this disease. One of the events we attend each year is the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund & Gala which helps in providing financial assistance to more than 100 Kosciusko county cancer patients and their families. From helping with mortgage payments and utilities to assisting with food and prescriptions, this organization has definitely helped its fair share of families in my hometown.

With all that said, attending this event is something I look forward to each year, and getting to dress up isn't too shabby either! My sister is absolutely amazing with hair and makeup and was able to make my hair and makeup match this gorgeous dress. Ha!
