Fall Porch Style

Have you told you yet how much I LOVE Fall??

Seriously, I can't get enough of it. You might recall that my husband and I bought our first home this past Spring so you know I'm going all out with decorating. Unfortunately, we're in the middle of a complete remodel inside so I'm feeling uninspired to decorate the madness. But...the outside is fair game so I went all out!.

Here are a few tips for decorating your porch:
  • Don't go overboard for the size of your porch. As you can see here, Jaime did a perfect job of decorating her cute little porch. While you can only see a small portion of my porch in these photos, it runs nearly the entire length of my house. Therefore, I went the whole nine yards.
  • Don't spend a ton of money on your outdoor decor. Let's face it, this stuff is going to rot and will likely need thrown away at the end of the season. Believe it or not, I got (nearly) all of this stuff at either Walmart or Marsh and it was super inexpensive!
  • Although it's perfectly fine if you are, I'm not much into Halloween. So, by going with a fall/harvest theme, I can leave most of these decorations up through the whole season. Or, do a combination of the two and take down your Halloween ones on November 1st.
Every day when I come home and see my cute little porch, it makes me happy. Are you feeling inspired by this cooler weather? How are you showing your festive fall side?

  6. yes yes yes to that straw bale! luckily we have about 200 of those on the farm! i plan on stacking a few on each side of our door and around our porch since our porch is giant and still without a railing. sheesh. so much to do when you build a house yourself. i wish my farmer would let me hire someone...but that's a whole different story. i'm rambling. thanks for linking up!!

    1. Haha, I could ramble on about fall as well! I wanted a big straw bale like this forever and couldn't find one anywhere. I found little ones at the craft store for $8 a piece so I bought 4 and then while I was grocery shopping one day BAM! the supermarket had this beauty for $9.99. I was so pumped even though everyone in the store was staring at me with a hay bale in my shopping cart. It was worth it.

  7. The porch looks amazing! I love it all. I'm not very good at changing the decor in my home for the seasons, but this is great inspiration!
