Regal Holidays ‘13 | A Very ‘Jaime’ Thanksgiving

I can honestly say this year has flown by. It seems like just yesterday I was lazily lounging in the summer sun and now we’ve already had our first bout of snow flurries, which signifies the signs of an approaching winter in Indiana. While I shudder at the thought of snow approaching, I love the holiday season! From Thanksgiving to Christmas and New Years, I look forward to this “season” all year long. Starting right about now, I have holiday style on the brain and I’m constantly looking for the perfect ensembles and pieces to add to my holiday arsenal. After all, you have to look stylish while stuffing yourself with yummy foods on the holidays! Check out my go-to look for Thanksgiving below:

Regal Holidays | Jaime's Thanksgiving Outfit

Alright, alright as you can see I love the girly, warm elements of the Henri Bendel statement necklace and the Marc Jacobs gold watch paired with black skinny jeans, a wine colored peplum top and a flowing waterfall cardigan. This outfit is super versatile and can be dressed up or down. I’ve chosen to finish it off with Sam Edelman riding boots and a Michael Kors Hamilton handbag. Très Chic!

While style is always on my mind, I also am a girl who isn’t shy about her love for food. From sweet to savory, Thanksgiving is a time for fun foods and family. One of my most favorite Thanksgiving dishes is candied sweet potatoes. They literally complete the meal and add a little sweetness that compliments the salty turkey. Below is a link to my favorite sweet potato recipe (click the photo for the recipe):

In addition to all the delicious food, I have always loved the idea of a signature holiday drink. I can’t wait to try this over the holidays as I have a major love of sangria! Bonus that it’s super simple to make and only takes the following ingredients:

  • Grab a pitcher and start with a bottle of Pinot Grigio
  • Add to that a few cups of apple cider, some club soda, and a little bit of bourbon for the warm fuzzies
  • Stir it up and taste! If you want it sweeter, whisk a little maple syrup into a small amount of apple cider then stir that in
  • Lastly, slice some apples and drop them in with cinnamon sticks and voila, your drink is ready to be chilled!

With all that said, what outfits and foods are you most excited for this coming holiday season? Don’t forget to also check out Kacie’s Thanksgiving style too for more holiday inspiration!
